Every painting begins
with a moment of stillness
Iris works from her home studio in the San Francisco Bay Area, surrounded by reference photos she takes in nature. She paints in acrylic — building up layers of color and texture until the subject comes alive on canvas.
Each painting is a meditation. A way of honoring the beauty that exists in the world — and in the act of surviving it.
